Wow, the SanFrancisco 49ers have finally won a game and it was against a divisional opponent that was right in the playoff hunt!  Sure it took a missed fieldgoal by Neil Rackers in overtime, and then a saftey on Kurt Warner to get the win, but a win is a win and the 49ers will take it anyway they can!

I have to give a lot of credit to Frank Gore today.  Gore came to play like the player we seen last season.  Even after huring his ankel early in the game, Gore was able to break some long runs and make defenders miss.  Gore finished the day with 116 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns.  He also caught the ball 11 times for another 98 yards.  Big time day for Mr. Gore!

Trent Dilfer had an ok game.  There were some terrible throws and missreads but he didn’t turn the ball over all game long and that helped keep the 49ers in the game.  He threw two touchdowns as Arnaz Battle and Vernon Davis both found paydirt.

Now the 49ers are 3-8 on the season and have a game against the Carolina Panthers coming up next.  This is another team that they can beat, but it will be tough.  The Panthers are having quarterback problems so the 49ers defense will need to get a couple of tournovers to help out the offense.

It was almost a win for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday but Trent Dilfer’s pass was picked off in the endzone on the last play of the game and the Rams won 13-9.  The 49ers battled all game long, but didn’t have a running game, and didn’t get the big touchdown when they needed too.  The defense played pretty good as they limited the Rams to only 13 points and 207 total yards.  The Rams aren’t good but either are the 49ers…

With no running game, the 49ers are going to continue losing ballgames this year.  Frank Gore only rushed for 32 yards on 15 carries.  You have got to do a better job of play calling and blocking so Gore can get out and get some rushing yards.  Too many times Gore was running right into the pack of defenders at the line of scrimmage.

One thing I would like to happen is getting the ball to Vernon Davis more and let him make some plays.  He has the ability to break some tackles and that would really spark this offense I think.  On Sunday, Dilfer did try to get the ball to Davis more then earlier in the season, but Davis wasn’t able to haul in a few of them, and the others were not very good thrown balls.

Do we need to start a pool asking when the niners will win their next game?  Will it even be this year?

BREAKING NEWS:  The 49ers offense still sucks and they can’t put points on the board!  It’s getting to be the same thing week after week when we blog about the 49ers games.  They simply cannot put points on the board.  Alex Smith can’t pass the ball, Frank Gore can’t run the ball, and the defenese can’t hold opponents to zero points so we can atleast hope for a tie!

The niners offense was only able to get 173 total yards and six first downs the ENTIRE GAME.  Smith threw for 114 yards but not nearly enough to move the ball up and down the field like they needed to be able to do.  Oh yeah, and he alos lost two fumbles on a cold night in Seattle.

Gore led the niners with 72 yards on 16 carries.  Once again, he isn’t rushing for 100-125 yards a ballgame which the team needs him to do.

With the offense playing so badly, the defense really never had a shot to shut down the Seahawks.  The Seahawks had the ball twice as long as the niners so the defense was always out there on the field.  The Seahawks kept the ball for almost 40 minutes.  That is two-thirds of the entire game!  Well atleast we can say the 49ers offense should be reseted up for next week lol…

The 49ers continued their slump and now have a six game losing streak after winning the first two games of the season.  To go along with the lose, the one bright spot on the defense, Patrick Willis, broke a bone in one of his hands.  Right now it is uncertain if he will be able to play with a big cast on it or not.

Oh yeah, and injuries are still hurting the 49ers. Frank Gore did not play due to a bum ankel.  Starting quarterback Alex Smith had a heavily taped up shoulder that he is going to have to battle through for the rest of the season.  The injuries keep on piling up and I don’t see things getting better for this team.  Oh yeah, and not next year either due to a couple draft picks going to different teams because of trades.

As a niner fan, I’m not sure what else to say other then this team really sucks right now.  Coach Nolan is on the hot seats, and we will have to see what happens in the next 3-4 weeks.

Another game, and another L for the San Francisco 49ers.  The 31-10 loss on Sunday to the Saints was the 49ers 5th straight loss, and move their record to 2-5.  What a shame this team is.   They have no offense at all, defense can’t stop anyone it seems, we have to motivation it seems, and are the coaches giving this team an opportunity to win?

Those are just some of the questions that I ask myself after watching the game.  Well part of the game on Sunday, I will admit that I turned it off and took a nap.  I guess the game was so boring it just put me to sleep lol.

It was apparent that Alex Smith still isn’t healthy, but he is still better then throwing Trent Dilfer out there in my opinion.  Frank Gore can’t run worth crap right now, (Maybe because the O-Line blows).   Our recievers rarely even have a chance to catch the ball as it is usually under or overthrown.

This team is just plain bad right now, and I really don’t see it getting any better.  Especially when they go on to play the Atlanta Falcons, who are actually favored in the game!  Can the niners grab a win from the Falcons?  I doubt it lol.  Time to look forward to the offseason, and a couple of late first round draft picks.

So I’m finally getting time to write about the game on Sunday where the 49ers lost to the New York Giants by the score of 33-15.  What do I really have to say though besides this 49ers team is terrible.  There isn’t one bright spot on the team right now.  I don’t reven enjoy watching them really.  It is that painful.

As bad as Alex Smith was, Trent Dilfer is that much worse.  Hopefully Smith can get back in the lineup, along with Ashley Lelie and they will get a connection going.

Really, there isn’t much more to say besides the SanFrancisco 49ers SUCK

What a boring game to watch lol.  The 49ers and Ravens had absolutely no offense yesterday as the Ravens won 9-7.  The 49ers had a chance when Joe Nedney attempted a 52 yard field goal but he missed wide right.

All I can do is laugh when you look at the first half stats of the ballgame and see that the 49ers only had eight yards passing and one first down.  I’m tired of this conservative play calling and something needs to change.  Let the guys fly down the field and try to catch the ball, the running plays aren’t working at all.  Gore hasn’t got going and the offensive line is playing like crap.

The defense did play well, and kept the team in the ballgame.  If I was a defensive player, I would be so pissed off.  They played good enough to get a win and the damn offense can’t score points.

It is going to be a very long season for the niners…

Terrible performance by the SanFrancisco 49ers on Sunday as they faced off against divisional rival Seatte.  In a game where Alex Smith was hurt early in the first quarter, the 49ers offense could not move the ball and put points up on the scoreboard.   The offensive line played terrible, backup quarterback Trent Dilfer didn’t have time to make passes due to the line playing so bad, and the few times that he did have time to pass the ball, he made some poor decisions with the ball.

The defense didn’t play too bad in the game to be honest.  The 49ers just need step up things on the offensive side of the ball and learn how to pick up blitzes and throw/catch the damn football.  Oh yeah and Frank Gore needs to learn how to hold onto the ball when he gets the rock.

The SanFrancisco 49ers lost their first game of the season on Sunday as they fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers 37-16.  The game was 17-9 in favor of the Steelers going into the 4th quarter and then all hell broke lose for the niners.  Two field goals and a interception returned for a touchdown blew the game wide open for the Steelers.

The 49ers had a few chances early in the game to score touchdowns but weren’t able to get into the endzone.  After getting into the redzone on their first possession, the 49ers had to settle for a 36 yard Joe Nedney field goal.  What happened next set the tone for the day as the Steelers ran the kickoff back for a touchdown.  The 49ers were playing catchup after the kickoff return and never could get over the hump.

It was nice to see Vernon Davis get some action in the game.  Quarterback Alex Smith hit Davis with the ball for four catches and 56 yards.  Smith threw the ball to Davis in the endzone twice, but both times the passes were incomplete.

Smith had plenty of chances to put more points on the board but could never get the team into the promise land.  Smith finished the day 17-35 for 209 yards and the crucial interception in the 4th quarter.

I was dissapointed in the running game however.  It seemed that Frank Gore never really got going and continued to always try to run right up the middle.  Gore rushed 14 times for only 39 yards and you aren’t going to win a game when your starting running back only runs for 39 yards.  We know that the Steelers defense is pretty damn good and you have to establish the run to open up some throws downfield but it wasn’t working for the niners.

As for the defense, the defense played well against the Steeler receivers, but it was the tight ends that really hurt them in the passing game.  It just goes to show you how well Nate Clements is playing right now when he can shut down Hines Ward and the other receivers.  Oh, and the defense couldn’t stop the run as Willie Parker ran wild for 133 yards and Najeh Davenport ran for another 47 yards.

The 49ers will be back at home on Sunday when they face the Seattle Seahawks.  Gametime is set for 1 p.m. pacific time.  Lets hope the 49ers get back on the winning track and win another divisional game.

The San Francsico 49ers played like crap but came out of St. Louis with another divsional victory as they moved to 2-0 on the young season.  The offense looks like they have no idea what they are doing out there.  Vernon Davis is getting pissed because he isn’t getting the ball thrown his way, and 49ers fans are getting pissed all the team is doing is run, run, run, punt.

You have got to get the ball going around more through the air to be honest.  Teams are going to start stacking 8 men in the box and making Alex Smith beat them and right now I don’t think Smith can make the quick checks and get rid of the ball in the right places.

The one bright side of this 49ers team is the defense.  The defense is what has won these first two games.  Vernon Davis is a beast out there, and he is going to deliver some hard shots to opposing teams every week.  Nate Clements is playing very well in the secondary and looks like he was really worth all the money.  The defense did allow 368 yards passing but they kept points off the board and that is what really matters.

The 49ers will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers next weekend. Expect that game not to be so pretty if the offense continues to play like they have been.
