The San Francisco 49ers have announced that they will be wearing throwback uniforms for the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals. It is just one of the ways the team will be honoring Bill Walso this season. Here are some other things the team has planned so far:
• Contribute your memories and pictures to the Bill Walsh Memory Book on 49ers.com by emailing Bill.Walsh@niners.nfl.com Â
• Visit the Walsh fan tribute area in front of the teams headquarters in Santa Clara
• Attend the Walsh family public memorial service, August, 10 at 11:00 at Monster Park
• Join us for the August 13, pre-season game vs. Denver – with a Moment of Silence in honor of Bill Walsh
• Wear your 49ers colors to the September 10 game vs. Arizona – a Bill Walsh tribute
• Look for the “BW†decals on the helmet and on the coaches’ shirts that the team will wear throughout the season.

They should just go back to those Uniforms and stop wearing the junk that they have now. Watching that game last night, took me back in time to 1988 and 1989, the glory years. Some things should never change, and the 49ers Uniforms of the 1980’s is one.

I agree, I loved the old uniforms!
